Camping in Pismo

We've been doing camping trips with our friends Basia and Phil since we graduated. We all like sleeping on the ground and not showering, so we make a good troop. These pictures are from our trip to Pismo Beach about two years ago.
Sand was everywhere.
Our friend Dave hates sand. He finds it an obligatory part of getting to the waves. He probably wouldn't mind if the beach was paved.
I love sand, but this Pismo sand followed us home. It might be part of the sandcastle that is slowly building under our bed.
Here is Phil (Polish name: Filip) dressed brightly, but appropriately for the weather. One time we went skiing in Tahoe in the middle of February and he only brought shorts, a beanie and a long sleeved t-shirt. I think he was getting a little cold after our fourth or fifth run on the slopes, but he was laughing. It's going to be in the 40ºs at night on this trip. I hope he packs accordingly, but if not, it will at least be entertaining.
^cute^

Here's a video Filip shot of me driving my car around in the dunes. This is how I would cruise around town if there were a lot less people around. I can't remember if I honked the horn with my head...

We are heading off to camp along this same stretch of coast in a few hours. We took apart our whole kitchen last night in anticipation of a cabinet project to begin Monday (mentioned here =). I think the camping trip might be good preparation for what's to come. Maybe we'll just unload our stuff in the backyard when we get back and continue living outdoors until the dust has settled.

Hope you have a good weekend!

    1. It's a great place to visit in California. It's a cold place to camp (super windy! RV is not a bad call), but it definitely makes you feel like you're on an adventure!
