Polaroids of Vegetarian Food

avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, hummus sandwich on whole wheat bread // kale and lentils sauteed with olive oil
Daphne's felafel pita taco and side Greek salad // garden variety taco with potatoes!
mushroom risotto, green beans sauteed with liquid aminos and sesame seeds and teriyaki tofu// Daphne's California salad with falafel (a favorite of mine)

had any good vegetarian meals lately?

  1. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. We used to go to a wonderful vegetarian restaurant in Bath called Demuths, back Before Children. Sadly not now! You have reminded me that it's time to go and make the tea though. Nothing nearly as wonderful as in your photos. Hope you have a good week Devon.

    1. Good vegetarian restaurants are hard to find! Tea sounds good right about now. I think I might have to go make some too...

  2. Oh these all look good!! I just made a lentil chili last week and I'm in love. I'm actually posting the recipe tomorrow! I'm not a vegetarian, but I just might like it better than chili with meat. I can't believe I just said that!

  3. YUM. I wish the midwest had vegetarian restaurants. I can't find them anywhere, and most restaurants only have one or two vegetarian options, which is almost always a black bean burger. Those get old after awhile.

I've been all over some lentils lately. I've been mixing them with tons of fresh veggies and eating it over spinach for lunch. And last night I made some awesome vegetarian tortilla soup. Perfect for fall.

  5. I'm ashamed to say I've never had falafel. But i keep hearing about it and maybe it is time I tried it. My latest favorite vegetarian meal lately is harvest quinoa with butternut squash. So good.

    1. I hadn't had it before until a few years ago either. I was honestly kind of tentative about trying it because I thought "falafel balls" sounded wierd. Anyways, now I love falafel and have it whenever I can. Quinoa and butternut squash sounds so good!
